I am delighted to confirm the successful implementation of Hampton Court Palace's new Alcatel telephone system is now up and running and that staff from the earlier implemented system at the Tower of London are now happily 'freeseating' with their new telephone numbers from site to site. This means that staff have just one 'office' telephone number and not the multiple numbers that had been necessary up until this time. Staff now have one number and one voicemail to manage.

We also have our centralised operators functioning at Hampton Court Palace, answering calls on a per Palace situation and the ability to transfer calls to either site.

This has all been achieved using our existing 100mb dedicated circuit between Hampton Court and the Tower of London. Indeed even the built in failure of using the alternative 2mb circuits between our other sites for signalling and then using PSTN to carry voice calls has worked brilliantly. This was put to the test from Friday last week when a fault on the 100mb router developed. Staff are completely unaware of the fail over method and calls are being made and received without a hitch!

I am most impressed with the service supplied by Actimax's engineers, frequently going above and beyond the call of their immediate remit to resolve issues related to although not directly because of the change of telephone equipment. The whole project has been managed carefully taking into account any specific concerns relating to our particular historic sites.

I wanted to let you know how impressed I have been with the help and support we have had from Lee Hawkins who has been really helpful and provided an excellent level of service.

Lee has really helped us out on a number of occasions over the last month or so. I know there was a period when many of your technicians were out on training courses and the Tech Section was greatly reduced in number. On two occasions I was under major pressure to get work done. Lee sorted out two problems for me really quickly and efficiently (for Haywards Health and sorting our our Ballot Hotline). Lee also helped me out when we had to close our Newmarket Office at short notice.

Lee is a real asset to your organisation. I would be very grateful if you would let John Massey know how impressed we are.

Just a short note to feedback to you on how the project has gone so far. We are very pleased in the way the systems have been installed at our two main offices and look forward to the following two smaller office installations due this month. The feedback that I have received from staff has been all positive, they like the new system and have been impressed by the smooth changeover. Your installers have excelled in meeting the tight installation time table and also dealing quickly with our last minute changes and responding to the small number of issues that arose during the install.
